The Treasure Island of Doom side quest in Fable 2 offers players one of the most exciting pirate-themed adventures in Albion. Initiated after reaching Bloodstone, this quest rewards diligent adventurers with massive gold payouts and unique trophies. Navigating the dangerous waters and hidden traps requires a solid strategy to locate all ten hidden rewards.
Starting the Quest in Bloodstone
To begin the journey, head to the tavern in Bloodstone and speak with an old pirate named Salty Jack. After buying him a drink, he reveals the location of Captain Dread's legendary lost treasure map. Following his directions leads players directly into the dark caverns of the Sinkhole.
Inside the Sinkhole, you must defeat waves of ghostly pirates guarding the ancient cavern paths. Search Captain Dread's private quarters to locate the key hidden near his bed, which unlocks the water lever mechanism. Raising the water allows you to board the ship known as the Marianne and sail to Lion's Head Isle.
Exploring Lion's Head Isle and Finding Treasures
Once you anchor at Lion's Head Isle, a counter appears tracking all ten buried and hidden treasures. Scour the wrecked ship sections along the sandy shore to discover the first few treasure chests. Swimming along the narrow rocky peninsulas will reveal isolated beaches with additional hidden loot.
Venture deeper into the island oasis to find diving spots and dirt mounds containing rich gold rewards. Be sure to inspect behind roaring waterfalls and chop through thick wooden barriers inside the cave tunnels. If you travel without your dog, these dig spots automatically turn into visible chests for easier collecting.
Completing the Quest and Collecting Rewards
After gathering all ten treasures across the island, return to the ship to set sail back to Bloodstone. Meet Salty Jack near the Sinkhole entrance to officially complete the quest and claim your reputation boost. Successful heroes receive a substantial sum of 15,000 gold along with 7,500 Renown points.
You will also gain Captain Dread's Sword trophy to display proudly inside your owned real estate properties. Completing this quest not only enriches your pockets but also grants access to hidden Silver Keys in the area. Thorough exploration ensures that no valuable item is left behind on this memorable adventure.
